Its ok to switch over to synthetic after the previous owner used regular oil. BUT, you cannot ever switch back to regular oil.......I loved motorcraft synthetic blend 5w-20 and motorcraft filter for a long time until I put the blower on. Vortech says to only use full synthetic 5w-30 so I switched to Mobil 1. Royal purple isnt worth the extra money. Mobil 1 is about $5 a quart where royal purple is like $7.50.....
