i am getting cobra roters from my friend to put on my 98' gt. the fronts are the only difference right do they just bolt right on or do i have to buy special parts?

your also gonna need the brakecaliper's and brakets for them to fit.

You will need the pads, calipers, rotors, and you should definatly look into new lines (more the likely yours are showing wear with a 98 GT).


Other than that, its a simple install.

As it was said, you will need Cobra calipers. The pads for cobra calipers are different than the GT ones. Everything else will work with the cobra calipers + rotors, it's very straightforward. As 2000GT4.6 said, you may want to look into new brake lines, though, if you're on a budget, you don't NEED them.

on a 98 you have to replace the brake lines...they are different on 99-04's so when adding the Cobra brakes you don't have to change lines but us 96-98's do. Front that is...

If you can get the old rotors and calipers off, you can get the new ones on. It shoud be a few simple bolts. Really easy.

Some things that were not mentioned or I missed it. You are going to need the front and rear caliper brackets off of your friends Cobra. You will have to pull your axles to put the rear caliper brackets on.
