Royal Purple Gear and rear diff oil question.
What is recomment weight for 5 speed tranny ( 4.6l mustang gt ) and how many quart do it need.
What is recomment weight for Rear Diff, and how many quart do it need ? thanks, and where to buy them cheap

In the trans. use Royal Purple SyncroMax. I can't remember the specs, but it's at least 3 qts
For the rear diff. use Royal Purple MaxGear with the weight of 75W140 (factory recommended weight). If you have a stock diff cover it uses about 2.5 qts and if you have a larger capacity aftermarket one just go ahead and buy 4 qts. With the MaxGear you do not have to add friction modifier.
As for where to buy, It depends on where you're at. Around here there are only 3 places that sell Royal Purple: Us (YearOne), Mustangs Unlimited (30 miles away), and O'Riley Auto parts.

americanmuscle.com sells a kit for the 99-04...frpp 3.73s, speedcal, 3 qts 75w90 royal purple gear oil...... i tihnk they kno what they are talking about as well
