IAC valve location?

RE: IAC valve location?
Red X for me^
If you look at the motor from the front of the car, it will sit just before the plenum. It is less than half the size of the plenum, and should have one electrical connection plugged into it, along with a black rubber hose and two 8 mm screws that hold it in place.

THanks guys. I've done some research and came across many articles. Some say not to clean it with carb cleaner and some say to clean it. "IAC valves are sealed non-serviceable items and not designed to be "cleaned" with solvents such as carberator cleaner. So any results that may be realized as a result of "cleaning" are likely to be short lived." What is correct? Should I clean it with carberator cleaner to see if it solve my idle problem?

I cleaned mine with carb cleaner, and it was fine...for a few days. Then just the other day my car died out on me three times[:@]
You may just want to buy a new one, like I am going to do.

If you clean it with carb and/or TB cleaner make sure you spray some light lubricant (WD-40, LPS 1, CRC 556, etc.--I actually use Marvel oilin a hypoderrmic applicator and compressed air to blow it around)into it before reinstalling. The cleaner will thoroughly degrease it's innards and if not lubricated (lightly) it will seize up in short order.
