Default H pipe or X pipe

I have on my 2000 GT a pipe that looks like an H pipe. I didn't put it on there as far as I know its factory. Does it come like that? What kind of H or X pipe do I want to put on there? I have Flowmaster mufflers.

You want an H-pipe with flows. The sound of the X sounds horrible with flows.

As far as whose is better, dunno. BBK makes good stuff, MAc is pretty good, not sure if bassani and magnflow make H-pipes, UPR, pypes, mustang tuning...... there are a lot.
Most guys seem to go with the Prochamber with flows.

Get an o/r h-pipe for sure with flows. I've got a BBK h-pipe and it sound great with the flows.

I'll tell you right now if you do get an X-pipe, do NOT get a BBK X-pipe! It makes this really weird and annoying loud buzzing sound in the midrange when you let off the gas and sounds like sh@t, and to me it feels like it kills the midrange power just a little bit. Just for the record, Flows with an X-pipe sounds really good, just raspier than an H-pipe. The H-pipe sounds slightly more muffled, but it's deeper, and you can feel the difference in low end power with the H-pipe. The X-pipe really opens up in the top half of the powerband though. I tell you all this from personal experience because I've driven my car with both as I also have a MAC off-road H-pipe which I plan on putting back on because the BBK X is making me sick with that horrible sound. I Agree, the x with flows dosnt sound horrible. I have that combo on my car and it dosnt sound much different from the stock H w/ flows, just a bit louder and raspier
