Clutch pedal issue

Clutch pedal issue
Have a '97 GT with King Cobra clutch. When I shift it feels like the pedal doesn't return all the way. It vibrates and makes a rattling noise. I can put my toe under the pedal and it will move out about 1/2" and the vibration stops but it won't stay there.
Thanks for your suggestions

mine does the same ... he says reason is the clutch needs a little play for when it breaks in. and sure enough after a few thousand miles it raised up at least 1 inch... but you have to adjust you cable to adjust pedal stiffness. If you do not havea firewall adjuster take your dust cover of your tranny and adjust there untill your happy but you don't want the TOB constantly sitting on the clutch fork

I don't have the firewall adjuster. My guy told me basically the same and I thought he was nuts. I have less than a thousand miles on my clutch so I'll wait it out.
Thanks
