Default Starting problem

Whenever I start my Mustang, it will start up, and then as the RPM's drop down to where it should idle, it keeps going down until it cuts off. It will do this every time, unless I rev it up a few times right after starting it. If I do that, it runs, drives, and idles just fine. Any idea what would cause this?

Thanks. I'm taking it to get the A/C charged on Thursday, and I was going to have it looked at for that as well, so it will help to have an idea of what's wrong when I take it in.

Turns out it was my anit-theft system. My car thought I was trying to steal it every time I tried to start it.
