one more thing make sure the gasket on the passanger side header flange is still good, that could also be a problem, i think its like 3 bucks at autozone

I bought a new gasket although the one that was on there was in pretty good shape. The car only has 27k on it so it hasn't seen to much wear and tear. Thanks

one way to check for leaks is if possible get the car on a lift or jack it up and start it and have somone hold rags over the tailpipes for a couple seconds till it builds up pressure in the exhaust then you will hear the exhaust come out where it is leaking.

I also have that ticking sound in my exhaust when i'm barley on the throttle just crusiing but at idle and full thrrotle it sounds great. I was wondering if i too have an exhaust leak cause it sounds like it's coming right from where the header meets the mid pipe.

Well, I took the x-pipeoff and added gasket sealant. The sound is still there. Its not really a ticking sound. Its kind of hard to explain. I think I would rather have that sound gone then the exhaust. Is there anything that could be making that sound?
