Ok, so the cats went in my '02 GT, and while I was at the meuffler shop checking on prices,I mentioned wanting to do a custom side exit exhaust. The shop guy and I drew up plans for what should be an awful nice LEGAL (ie catted) setup, and I'm only stuck on one decision. Okay, I lied, 2 decisions, but I really need professional help with one. I want to run 3" pipe all the way back, and 3" cats and Flows. This will be a true dual setup, so no X- or H- pipe setup. Anyways, is 3" all the way back too much, or should I go with 2.5" thru the cats and flows and pipes? Any input is greatly appreciated.

What are your mods? Usually, 2.5" is plenty.

No mods yet, will be doing LT's with the set-up, CAI, but plan on getting to 400-500 HP NA eventually.

2-1/2" will be fine, you may want to re-think the "true" duals decision too, H and X pipes are power adders in the sense that they broaden/flatten the power curve...
