Default MGW just installed

I just installed my MGW shifter for the 3650 and it's awesome. I have two questions, though.

Did you guys with the 3650 use the shift stops? The instructions said I didn't need to, and when I did the car wouldn't go into second gear, so i took them out and it was fine.

Also, is it supposed to vibrate more than the stock shifter? A girl could pleasure herself on the shifter it vibrates so much. Is that normal?

i used the shift stops. your suppost to put it in first and screw the stop in untill it touches than take it out a 1/4 or 1/2 turn. and do the same with 2nd gear. while its parked, and go threw the gears and make sure that the stop doesnt touch the shaft it self.

mine does vib. as well. but o well i dont hold the shifter when i driver only when i shift.

set it to the 8 o'clock place she shifts so short. youll love it.

Per Tremec and George at MGW, you do not need the stops--I specifically asked George abouth this when I got mine, a copy of his response is here...

your not supposed to use the shift stops. if you do the tranny could jump out of gear. take them out!

i'm not sure about the vibration tho. mine doesn't vibrate that much.

Mine shakes more than the OEM shifter (which is so rubbery it couldn't shake if it wanted), like a turret shifted tranny is supposed to...

The 3650 has internal shift stops. Mine doesn't move much at all. Sometimes it vibrates, but not visually.

Do NOT use the shift stops. Tremec transmissions have them built in internally.

Only if improperly adjusted, however they are not necessary--I doubt they'll do any harm if adjusted correctly, but since they aren't needed it's just an added complexity that does need to be checked once in a while as things (synchro rings and forks mostly) in the tranny wear...

Alright, well I didn't use the shift stops. The vibrating isn't visual, and I usually don't hold the **** when I drive, so I guess it's all good. Thanks, guys.
