I dont want to rob this guys thread, and hopefully it will benifit him in the case he doesnt know either, but what is a "PI"? someone stated that the 2000 was a PI would a 2002 be aswell? Im still a newb to learning more about mods, and such. Im sorry if this robs your thread buddy.

pi=performance improved. 1999-2004 mustangs are pi. if you are a 1996-1998 (like me) you can buy the pi heads cams and intake manifold and swap them in and (correct me if im wrong) actually see a little more power than on the 1999-2004 pi mustangs because you would have a slightly higher compression ratio, the only bad thing about the higher compression is that you cant run as much boost if you were to super/turbo charge it.

OK, thanks buddy, now lets continue with this guys thread lol i would say #1 gears, next would be exhaust, i say that mainly because i want my car to sound good. A cold air intake should be thrown in somewhere in there. Good luck with your modding my friend!

lol well im starting off with just a simple SLP cat back, its in the mail, im not going o/r because cops suck aroound here n can apprenlty fine you 5000 dolllars, so not worth it haha. im planning on gears, i have the money, just seein wha all has to be done in order for them

i started with intake and exhaust, but dont overlook suspension. i did shocks and struts and upper and lower control and arms springs, thatmade a HUGE difference... its way more fun to drive.i havent done gears yet and i dont really know why, but i probably will in the near future.

bro, im in the exact same position as you right now...im 19 just got my first mustang...an 04 gt and so far the only mod i have is window tint (15%) most states legalize up to 32-35-ish. i live in georgia and they really dont care that much about tint...also, im waiting on lowering springs a bassani catback and a bbk CAI...im pretty new at this too but i guess this is just some input to where i started. oh yeah one more thing, im bored as hell at work right now too so rock on haha

you didnt mention anything about your financial position. so im just gonna go out there and say, if you can afford it, do exhaust first, then save for a little while for a supercharger. these cars do not respond all that well to bolt ons and if you really want to see a difference out of it...go forced induction. thats more or less what i did, and im really happy thats the route i took.
