Ok my friend has a p.o.s. 96 v6. HE is so jealous of my car. Hes getting a 99cobra in may, and i want to be able to beat him. With my common bolt ons, what else will i need to beat him stock

In addition to the mods below i will have 3.73, port and polished plenum/intake, and maybe a cam.

99 Cobra's are about the same as 99+GT....in most cases it's a drivers race...with the mods you listed.. There's no doubt you can take him..

Why is the 99 Cobra so poopy?? GT's have 260whp and the Cobra has 320whp, right? So why is it a driver's race?

I dunno. If the driver goes right to 6th gear in the cobra the GT will maybe win. LOL.
