Default #4cyl. backfiring

I just recently got my car back from the shop from having the intake replaced and for some reason now, I have check engine light on. I took it to the dealership to get it read, and they said the number 4 cylinder was backfiring. Is this a simple fix, could it just be a spark plug wire or an injector lose? I have a significant loss in power, and the car always seems to want to die when I accelerate. I drove it for a full day before figuring out the problem, i really hope I didn't ruin anything otherwise the shop I took it to is in deep ****! The shop said to take it back tomorrow but If its something as simple as the wires or injector being loose I might as well do it myself ya know. Any ideas guys?

Bring it back to the shop and make them fix it for free, if it all happened right after they did work on your car.

the cylinder was backfiring? i'm guessing you mean missing. it could be as simple as a loose connection if you have a dead skip. just give all the connnections on the #4 cyl. (rearmost, pass side) a once over
