my o2 sensor is out, just wondering if there is anyway to go around the system... dont have 350 for a tuner, and dont want to waste $100 or more on a dam sensor... any suggestions....

Which O2 sensor? Are you sure it's the sensor? You can buy MIL elim's.

is it your front two O2sensors that control your A/F ratio? or the back two O2sensors that make sure your cats are working properly?

if front 02 sensors are messed up (throws a CEL code of like P1131 / P1132)
you have to replace those, each O2 sensor is roughly $80 a piece (at a performance shop) or buy it at a warehouse

if back O2 sensors are throwing the CEL , just get some MIL's, and those are like really cheap to make, use the infamous search button to look for the write up

Hey Avlon06, What kind andwhat are the measurements of your tips? I have stock tips right now and I wanna get some stainless steel ones. I have a black GT like your picture and I like the way yours look.

They are 3.5" wide..

I want to say its the back 02 sensors but after looking at those numbers it looks like it could be the front ones.. also its burning really lean to i belive...... can't remember the code it threw tho when the guy checked at napa.

The best advice I can give you.......................................

Make sure your emissions system is 100% operation BEFORE submitting your car to an emissions test.

How are you waisting money on an O2 sensor? How about the money you'll waist on a failed smog check because the sensor is defective?

sometimes the code will go away after a couple starts, other wise, try reseting the car by disconnecting the battery for 30 min. after you reset, drive around and then get the car scanned again. this worked for me last year

my hot rodinstructor told us that you can pass any car by drivimg around until you have an 1/8 of a tank and putting a bottle or two of rubbing alcohol in the tank. after you go to emissions you have to fill up so that it will dilute the alcohol. i haven't tried it but it's something to think about
