Default Would this be a good start for modifying?

i have a 1998 mustang Gt and I have been doing some searching on the net to see what kind of parts I should add to the car. I have about 1200$ to spend on parts and here is what I was thinking about getting. I am thinking about getting a Mac prochamber with a MAC cat back and a c+l trueflow plenum with a 75mm accufab throttle body along with a densecharger kit. These parts will all be bought at the same time. If I can I might try and fit some 3.73 gears in there as well. So do you guys think this is a good start? How much overall horsepower would it give my car? This isnt going to be the end of modifying the car cause I will eventually add MAC ceramic long tubes, steeda underdrive pulleys and timing adjuster, and more than likely a set of cams. Oh one last ? what is the best computer tuner to use, I know a dyno tune is but the closest one is like 10 hours away so thats out. Thanks in advance.

1200 is enough to do a PI headswap, thatd be your biggest bang for the buck, and well if you got a deal like USAmuscle then id say go with gears or exhaust.

yeah Porting Heads is a good idea. it will give you 50 + hp...

the mods you are going for is also a good idea...more work, time and money though.

heres a good thread that might come in handy for you sometime...

So the PI head swap would be the best bang for the buck deal? Should i go ahead and install long tube headers why I am at it?

YES!!! No doubt about that at all. LT headers are great.

75 is too big connected to most plenums if your car is NA .... BUT.... if u get a C&L plenum a 75mm TB would work better than a 70mm TB... this is only with the C&L because they dynoed it to work better with a 75mm TB even if youre N/A... just making that clear

ok I have found a set of heads for $400 and I found an intake for $150. What else do I need in order to get this swap complete.I was thinking of getting some VT stage 1 cams to go with it but I am not sure if I should do that or get long tubes cause its either one of the other. I have heard that there is a place that sells the whole kit but I dont remember what site it was.
