Why do I need an 8 bolt flywheel?
Why doI need an 8 bolt flywheel? I have a 96 GT and I am putting in a 1996-98 cobra engine. My flywheel is a 6 bolt and everyone says thatI need an 8 bolt, but there is this auction on ebay and it says it works for this car but its a 6 bolt. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RA...38569243QQrdZ1

I know it says that its for a 1996-2004 but at the bottom where it says applications it says 1999-2001 and 2003-2004 This company has zero return policy also so i wanted to be sure.

i'm doing the same swap currently, all you really need to do it go to summit/jegs and find a 8 bolt flywheel. my 8 bolt flexplate i'm buying for my auto is only like $65, so that's prob. what a flywheel is around also
