Default GT FENDER EMBLEMS

I have a friend who owns a machine shop. I want to remove the GT emblems and replace them with custom emblems

1. Does anyone know the font or style for the existing lettering on an 07 Mustang GT, or a font that would look good - for example if using numbers ie 289, 280, S192 etc

2. I know there are locator pins - I should just remove, locate and measure on my own vehicle but does anyone have a picture of the fender with the GT emblem removed, and/or the measurement between them for machining purposes?

I could buy off the shelf emblems, but I'd like something a bit more custom - I think it's worth the effort

Any ideas?

I would just take them off and measure the distance. If you don't end up replacing them you can always put them back on.

do you have an 07 or what? if so there is an S197 (not S192...) section on this site. also, i'm not 100% sure, but i thought the 05 and up cars got rid of the alignment holes for the emblems. if you are replacing the GT ones on an S197, i would just go with the Tri-Bars from the V6 Pony Package, and MAYBE add a "281" block emblem. or, the new Explorers and Sport Tracs come with "V8" emblems very similar to the Escape "V6" emblem i have on my trunklid..i think that would be a nice, unique touch.

this is the older one:

can't find a pic of the newer one. i can go take a pic at the dealer if you want.

also check out this place for some cool old school emblems: www.mustangsplus.com
