aftermarket heads??
Is there any company that makes a completely new modular cylinder head? Any word of some being produced? I figured since truck flow came out with their new intake it won't be long untill they make a set of heads...
any thoughts?

RE: aftermarket heads??
I'm not going to hold my breath. The 2v is a dead idea and I'm not sure how much more is really going to be done for it. I could be wrong( I hope I'm wrong) but I don't see anyone going out of their way to make a 2v head when you can just swap to a 3v or 4v engine.

RE: aftermarket heads??
theyd probably also charge a lot of $$$ for them too....saying as they'd be the only true aftermarket 2V head builders....not just taking stock PIs and porting/polishing....
so i doubt most of us would be able to afford them lol, considering new Stage II ported/polished 2V PI heads usually cost between 1500-2000....imagine what a brand new design would cost the buyer.....
doubt its gonna happen

well... I figure if a company did make them they would be close to $2000 a set with cams.. at a price that high it would always be tempting to just buy a blower, and guys that already have blowers who bought new heads would probably end up having to build a bottom end to handle the power..

It costs ALOT to back engineer heads, even more so with a OHC design. they made ALOT of 2v cars, so they could proabably sell lots of them ,but not many companys make aftermarket OHC designs.
The good thing is, youcan make ALOT of horspower so long as your going the FI route with a 2v head. Hell, people are making600+ on 93 octanestreet driven cars.. how much do ya need?
BTW, your correct that on a FI car they are basically useless without a bottom end swap. Stock motor cars on 10 PSI with the right setup and a great tune can make more than enough to break the stock internals, let aloneone with a setgood flowing aftermarket heads.
