Default Gears and midpipe

Woohoo! Tomorrow is the big day. Getting my 3.73s & midpipe. The place quoted me $1150 for the midpipe, gears, chip + install. that a good price? the gears + install are $500 alone. the chip is $200 and the midpipe is $400. couple of questions for yall though.

1.) I have the SLP Loudmouths which are LOUD. Should i get an X or an H. i want an H cause they apparently sound so much better, but i don't want to be obnoxiously loud like a ricer. would an X still make me sound as fierce? will the x sound better/deeper than my stock H?

2.) i have the choice of getting the chip for $200 or just my speedometer adjusted for $150. they didn't give me any details on the chip except if i got it, i'd have to run on 91/93 octane gas. what would this chip do other than fix my speedo? i'd like to have some idea before i go in there tomorrow.

3.) about how much would my 1/4 mile time be with my catback, midpipe & gears?

4.) will the new pipe and gears put an even bigger on my face?

going to get my car dyno'd saturday with the nova stang club. woohoo!

the chip would ajdust ur a/f a little and it would up your timing... the reason u need to use higher octane gas is for the up in timing... so just get the chip... 400 ti install a midpipe? come on is thta a joke, unless u have 400 dollars to throw away, id go buy some rhino ramps and do the mid pipe my self... even if u have no idea, its really not that hard and ull get it eventually and ull still have 400 to buy something else with

id get an x pipe because i like x pipes but a lot of people say if u dont have a straight through muffler then an x pipe sounds bad... i have to disagree but whatever... id get an X if i were u though... get a couple extra horsepower over the H... the x will still be loud... not as deep as an H though

do the pulleys yourself too ... dont pay people to do easy things... first of all if u do it yourself its more rewarding and u feel better about your car... second if u save the money and do it yourself... ull prob have 600 dollars that u saved on the installing of all that easy stuff and you can go buy a TB and plenum or an intake with a new MAM... but if u have extra money lying around... be my guest

that's the price of the pipe + the installation. i'm not crazy to pay $400 just to get a midpipe installed.

even if i ordered the pipe online, it'd be $399 plus shipping. i'm only paying like $50 installation. i can probably get everything done for $1100, since i'm paying cash.

no, it's not o/r, it meows.

oh, and i'm not paying anyone to install the pullies.

think it'll still sound at least just as deep as the stock H? i don't want it to get high pitched and sound a tad ricey on me. just so long as the X gives me at least the stock H sound, i'm going with the X. if not, i'm going to have to go with the H.
