After a little night searching, I am gonna come to the premature conclusion the only thing he added would be flow master tips (this is judging by the pipe wear, the tips look significantly better/polished then the rest of the system). So guess to say better change my sig!

Oh, I think I saw the first set of cats near the tips, then the other 2 sets closer to the mid pipe, which is an H style on stock 97 gt?

This may help you in defining what cat back is.
The more air moved through an engine, the more power that can be produced. Generally one of the first modifications to any car is to replace the usually restrictive OEM exhaust with an after market 'cat-back' performance exhaust. Cat-back refers to replacing the mufflers and the pre-silencer, so replacing the exhaust from the catalytic convertors back. This mod can release up to 25rwhp depending on the exhaust and other mods

97s have 6 catalytic converters, not 4. They have an element inside them that gets hot and stays hot to burn fuel that isn't burned in the engine for lower emissions.
