I have 00 gt with flowmaster setup. it doesn't drive the same. i don't feel the power anymore. it doesn't accelerate like before and everytime i step on the gas i hear the SSSSSssssssssssss sound instead of that muscular sound when i first purchased the car. is my exhause leeking?

sounds like it to me. let it idle or have someone rev it a little and then check under your hood so you can isolate the noise. and then when you do, you will most likely find a crack there.

Exhaust leaks sounds like crap, but itshouldn't have a performance hit bad enoughthat you'd notice it...

..check inyour tailpipe & see if someone shoved a potatoe or something in it

Exhaust leaks don't sound like that...vacuum leaks do. You'd know if you had an exhaust leak. It woudl sound like a machine gun (how loud would depend on how big the leak was)

Check your intake from the air filter all the way back to throttle body. You can also take carbcleaner and spray around the intake. If the idle goes up, it's getting the cleaner sucked in which means you have a leak or a cracked intake.

could it be my IAC valve too? My car has been stalling because the iac is messed up.
i will replace it when i get home from work today.

IAC only affects idle, however, if you took it off in an attempt to clean/fix it and there's now a leak around the gasket..yes, that could cause what you're hearing and would explain the loss of power.

Thanks guy. I just replace the IAC and the vaccum hose. I believe the sound is gone. However, the exhaust doesn't sound the same anymore.
when i first purchased the car it sounded awsome. Now it sounds like crap. I hear the engine roaring more than the exhaust. It doesn't have that echo sound.
