Default adjusting clutch cable

how do i adjust the clutch on my new clutch i installed? right now the release point is crazy low....i was told to adjust it via cable but where is it and how do i adjust?

if you just got a new one don't adjust for a while it needs to settle and it will expand out........ if you don't have a firewall adjuster......... on the driver side of the tranny there is a dust cover held on by 1 bolt 10MM i think...... take that off to adjust. Very simple but annoying

ok...but should the release point on even a new clutch be less than an inch off the floor?

Do you have the OEM quadrant and adjuster, or an aftermarket quadrant/adjuster/adjustable cable?[/align][/align]If the latter then adjust the foolish thing, if you have the OEM quadrant/adjuster then read this...[/align]

mind did about a quarter inch from the floor over 1k miles raised about 2 inches

i replaced everything and did not think to put a firewall adjuster in[:@]

bought a quadrant you really can't adjust

Without a firewalladjuster (and with an after market quadrant) you need an adustable cable, adjustable at the release lever end of the cable...
