Default Coilovers vs Shocks/Struts and Springs

I am planning on doing mosly handling mods from now on. I have to decide whether to go coil over or with shocks/struts. I already have springs.

Which is going to give me stiffer and better handling? Will the coilovers price be worth the handling gains?

Any other input is great.

Thanks

Well I want really good handling, but I will probably only go to road racing tracks once or twice for fun. Will Shocks/struts be near coilovers at all?

What springs do you have right now? I really like my setup for what it is.. I know coilovers would give me much more versatility, but the price difference and the uses for my car were enough to deter me. The MM Full Coil Over is a bit over$1500I believe, and I think thats with bilsteins inluded but im not sure..

I have FRPP C springs. I was thinkging about Bilstein's and keeping the c springs and then going to all the other suspension stuff over time.

I have QA1 coilovers up front. I would never go back to springs. I dont even have a front swaybar anymore and I can still keep up with my buddy in his WRX STI in the turns. Coilovers are the only way to go if you are looking for handeling.

I'm doing up my own kit based on what sitnlopro99gt did.
Only I'm doing the full route with bumpsteer, new balljoints, and new offset bushings as well.
UPR front coilovers, KYB AGX struts, MMR rears, CE shocks.
I hope its all considerably cheaper than $1500.. hah.

The best deal I could find on coil-overs is through maximum motorsports... for front coilovers its a little over 1k and for front and rear it goes around 2k... thats everything you need... He will try to sell you other stuff... You have to be very specific with the salesman I got.... LOL

ive got the eibach sportline springs; koni yellow struts/shocks; MM c/c, steeda bumpsteer and i'm very happy with it, with the yellows you can make it pretty damn stiff or comfortable for cruising. I'm going to start doin a little auto-x every once in a while, but tooling around on backroads and such now, ithink it will be good enough for me.
