Default Stupid Coil packs

I just had another coil pack go out ,this is the fourth one in four months.
The first time it was three all at once now its just the one.
My car is an 02 and it only has 35K miles. What makes these stupid things burn out.
The first three the dealer replacedwhen I firstgot the car.

I pulled the code last night and it said misfire # 4 which one is # 4 is it the one in the back pass. side
What does a new coil pack cost.? $40-60

Just because it's missing doesn't mean it's the cop. It could be a weak injector, or a bad plug as well.

Injectors were just cleaner and flow tested 1000 miles ago,so I know its not that.
Plugs were just changed 3000 miles ago when the last three coil packs went out, I don't think it could be that.
I'm going to test the coil pack later today with a voltmeter and see if it has any continuity

It's a coil, not a coil pack. And Ford sells them for $100 a piece. I'd go with aftermarket coils. I hear good things about Accel. And I'd recheck all of the plugs and make sure they're properly torqued and gapped. Then use some dielectris grease before you put the coil on. It helps make better electrical contact and helps to stop carbon tracing.

I know its a coil on plug(cop)
I just found a set of 8 aftermarket(cop's) for $200. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8wgf.htm
Summit has accel (cop) $25 each $200 for 8 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

I think I'll get accel.

I just ordered accel's cop's from summit racing for $210 to the door.
And I'm going to pick up a set of new plugs just cause.
That should fix the problem.

When you wash your car and spray off the engine water can get down into where you cop's are and take them out. Used to happen to me a lot but not with this new manifold
