I just bought my first 4.6 on Monday and the seat belt dinger is driving my crazy! I was told that there was a way to stop it. Something about flashing the light and opening the doors so many times or something like that. I am sure someone knows

wear your seat belt. or get a nother seatbelt clip, just the clip. and clip it into the reciever, should stop the dinging.

Steps!!!!

1. Park your Car on a Steep hill (the angle of the hill will throw the Sensor off)
2. Leave car in Neutral, Lift Ebrake to the first click
3. Get out of car
4. Open/ close door 10 times Hard.
5. Doesnt Work........ Lean in Let down Ebrake
6. Repeate step 4.

Conclusion- you wont need a seatbelt anymore!! Just buckle up!! its not that bad is it?

Yes,you can disable it. it's called the Beltminder system,it tells you how to disable it in the owner's manual.

Easiest way to stop the chime is to buckle up. There is never a good enough excuse not to wear your seatbelt.

maybe hes doin some work with the door open where the battery is on or somethin, or if your just chillin out in your car waitin on someone, listnin to some tunes, runnin off the battery, and doesnt want his seatbelt on. i didnt know this could be disabled

hmmm.... i'd like to know how to turn this off too. mine didn't do it till I swapped seats..

unplug it...aint heard much of the swigging doors and strobe light voodoo...but unplugging it kills the circuit that lights the plug up. Either that or pop the sleeve off and bend the metal sensor tab back on itself...make it think you always buckled up.
