REAR WHEEL BEARING CHANGE
ok i'm thinking about saying "fucck it" and change my rear wheel bearings. i found em cheap at autozone so thats one hurtle down , does anyone know the correct procedure to do this task , or perhaps know of a good tech article online , preferably with pictures but i can make due. i've been looking but i can't find an article for a mustang. any help , TIA.

[ol][*]Rear up on jackstands[*]Yank the wheels[*]Remove the calipers and brackets as one assembly (brace or tie 'em up out of the way)[*]Remove the rotors[*]If you have ABS remove or push back the sensors (the ABS sprocket will hit and maybe damage them when you push the axles in [step 6])[*]Pull the rear-end cover (draining the oil in the process)[*]Push the axles in and remove the C-clips inside the carrier[*]Pull the axles out[*]Using a slide hammer or other puller remove the old bearings[*]Drive the new bearings in using proper tools (get 'em straight, use a big socket or pipe coupling asa driver[*]Put the axles back in, do steps2 through7 in reverse[*]Add oil (and friction modifier if needed)[/ol]

well , if i have to take out the axles , do i have to set the backlash on the rear end again? or can i just use the same shims and it wont be a big deal. i hate backlash. lol [:'(]
