Default 96 GT Transmission Leaking

I have a 96 GT with a 5 speed and noticed I've been leaking some tranny fluid, I crawled underneath to scope it out and noticed the reverse light indicator was the only spot with fluid accumulated. I was just seeing if anyone else has had the same problem, and what are some other common reasons for leaks. Thanks

take it out and wrap some teflon tape around it and that could* solve the problem. Other leaks would be the seal in the back or front.

Was the fluid coming from above the reverse light hook-up? Your transmission is splash lubricated and can leak from around the shift tower plate. You also have a seal between the main case and the tail housing that could be leaking. Clean the area as best you can so you can find the source of the leak. Teflon tape is fine to use on the reverse light switch threads and is, in fact, usually there from the factory.
