RE: my 2004 gt, vs. 1989 rx-7 turbo
my good buddy has an 89 turbo fc (rx-7) he has intake exhaust and is beeding the wastegate line (more boost)..and me with my mods he is very close to me..i would say right by my back bumper...before he has that wastegate modsi would spank him up liek butter.... so i think you should take him out but not by very much i would say maybe 1/2 -1 car..but you WILL win.
-Mike
p.s. he also has his interior stripped out.

You guys are making this 89 Rx-7 sound way too fast. I guess you guys forget about the automatic 99+'s that have ran 14.0's stock, even members here have.

Dan you took the words right out of my mouth....$hit Automatics have been known to put down better times than Manual GT's...that auto is good for atleast 14.2 (with a total idiot at the wheel/an expert could easily run 14.0)...and it requires very little "know how"...Just point and shoot....I'll say he will win by more than 3 carlengths easy....I would bet money on this.

hey 04gt, i live in michigan also. hold him off to spring so i can race him too!
we both should have no problems with him(but it would be close), since we are running mid 14's, and hes running a high 14. Hell, take him to Milan Dragway.
