if its more of a creaking its the cheap interior that ford puts in the stangs....plasitic....
i have lots of creaks behind my dash...either turn up the stereo or roll down the windows

wow...tonight i fixed the leak in my intake manifold and took it for a drive and i too heard a ticking sound....to me sounded like an exhaust leak. first time its ever done it.
