Default Exhaust question just brought to my attention

I noticed a few other posts on here talking about this and I got to wondering....i'm putting on my Mac Catted H-pipe (for stock exhaust manifolds/headers) tomorrow and I want to know if i'm going to need o2 extensions.

Nope, only neededfor long tube headers

Is there a special way to connect the sensors near the engine? I got the one of the passenger side but the driver side is being difficult. Any suggestions?
