Default Installing my RAI

Im currently removing the stock air filter, and installing my rai, i'm new to mustangs, so im having some trouble, this is my question. THis right here, do i REMOVE it and put it on my new JLT RAI, or what do it do....

Yes that is your MAF sensor. You need to put that with the new intake.

yessir....thats your mass air flow meter.....i highly doubt your car will even run without it....if it does, itll be rough as all hell..... when you disconnect everything, be gentle, cuz the MAF can get messed up pretty quick. Also, be sure to keep that little round screen in front of it (supposedly helps keep out debris....who knows if it really works, but cant be too safe...)

An RAI is a Ram Air Intake. The filter is in the engine bay rather than in the fenderwall. For example

with the JLT RAI your going to connect that MAF adapter to the silicon hose to the big PVC pipe.. im sure your JLT RAI came with simple instructions.

exactly how it shows there just the fatty pvc pipe is just bigger and you dont have that mach ram air coming from that heatshield
