the actual swap is easy, everything will just bolt up, where your problem is if you go to a 2003 you basically need to rewire the entire car, engine harness, dash harness, computer , constant controll module, gem module pats system(anti theft system), and fuel system. then your ready to go

The only person on the boards that I know has completed what your talking about is Bramas, PM him and im sure he will answer any quistions you have, Not too many people have attempted many swaps... maybe a little over a handfull... Goodluck if you decide to do the swap.

If you go after the 97 cobra engine it will be fairly straight forward. If you find an 03 cobra engine it is a lot more complicated process. For the cost it would most likely just be cheaper to start with a 97 cobra engine.

You can get completeB-Heads with camsfor 250$. Wiring harness, intake manifold, timing cover and what not can be had fairly cheap. Its a good move if you're putting a new shortblock in. Not really worth it otherwise though.

B Heads are the heads found in early 4V Cobras and Lincoln Mark VIII's.

I wouldn't waste my time parting it out like that. I would just buy a complete engine. That way you already have the aluminum block and forged crank. It'll will be a lot easier to start with the complete engine.

Why buy a non-forged engine? For the amount a new 4v long block will cost; you could have a built engine good to over 1000 hp with 03/04 cobra heads.
