Mine was made in the Windsor plant. It has an 8 bolt crank that is not forged.

Pulled my trans out tonight...my 99 has an 8 bolt crank....x vin motor...

Also, on this centerforce site, it makes it sound like if your shopping for a flywheel and you have a code X in your vin, you should have an 8 bolt crank. I'm lost.
