Default RE: torque converters?

I'm looking to get a torque converter after I get some Weld Wheels and drag radials. I'm debating on going somewhere around a3000-3500 stall. I also plan on running a supercharger eventually so I'm trying to plan for this.

Rule-of-thumb is ~700 rpm lower than your peak torque number.

yeah i don't know how much hp my car will have in the future but i'd want something like a 2800-3200 stall since i'll be putting a 4v motor in my car, it'll have me right in the powerband

I got a TCI tc and regular street tires are useless for drag racing. When i went to the track i was fishtailing all over the place. Cant wait to see what happens with a good set of dr's.

You may as well just go directly to a Mickey Thompson ET Street or ET Drag radial. If you want to stick, that's the tireyou want. I had BFG 315 DR's a couple years ago and still couldn't keep them from spinning out of the hole.

Trust me, DO NOT get a 2800-3200 stall, unless u are running a KB, saleen, eaton, roush or some other screw type blower cause you are waisting e.t's if you do. Please get at least a 3500-3800 if you are staying n/a or running a centri type blower. Your car will run more efficiently with the higher stall and will launch harder. Please check around with various forums and call some reputable companies first before making the purchase cause you dont want to be "wishing" you had more stall..
