turning over way too long

RE: turning over way too long
If a car won't start, its either electrical or fuel. You need to figure out which one it is.
My experience has been its just easier to take it to a dealer and let them diagnose it. They can do it a lot faster and in most cases, get it right the first time. Just my opinion.

Importkiller89, can you hear your fuel pump priming when you put the key in the ignition & turn it to the on position before starting it?

Just taking it to the dealer eliminates the need for this website & opens people up to getting screwed out of their hard earned money, don't you think? [8D]

Just finished doing that with my AC system. Intermittent cooling. Paid $20 bucks to have them do a diagnostic. They said it was leaking butwouldn't tell me from where. I have my own UV light so when I went home I just started it up and spotted it. Saved myself around $600 (they wanted $1,000 to replace compressor, liquid line and drier total for parts labor out the door). I can buy my own parts do the work myself for $400 (new parts including + going to a local a/c shop and having them evac, refill, and leak test my work)I could spend as little as $200 but if I'm cracking the system open to replace o-rings and receiver drier, I'm replacing the compressor too. Parts have been ordered and it will be fixed this weekend!
