Hey guys, went to pep-boys today to check some stuff out, my friend new this dude chris that just bought a 03 cobra a while back, its all stock and he has put 5,000 miles on it, He was getting off soon, So I waited then we set and talked about are cars for about 10 mins then we went to take of, I was beside him going down highway 138 3 lane road, not much traffic at all. Well we were rolling in second @ 30 and he punched it so I did, we both spun like a *****(I had TC Off, he must have had it off also) after the spinning I went to 3rd spun slighty(had easy shift), Then I just started a steady pull on him all the way to 120(had aboth a half a car length advantage the hole time and just was slighty inching foward, This was insane but fun(to do on 138 I mean,cops everywheere lol) but we were lucky but hey who cares, anyways I was thinking I would loose alittle but instead I won, How is this, He is stock 03 S/C Cobra, and I have bolt-ons, chip,exhaust, shifter,suspension and others, How is this possible? could it be my 4:10s helping me out alot with these minor boltons, also have ported an polished intake, But i wish I had a dam camera, my friend mike couldnt believe it, I was fun would have been awsome camera footage, But I didnt think my car was faster, he didnt seem like a bad driver friend said he hit gears pretty even off coarse he said it was hard to tell over exhaust. I'm excited cant imagin what its goign to be like with turbo are a S/C.[8D]

Preciate it, Friends said he was a good driver fromw hat he knew of him but when we raced couldnt really tell he seemed good to me, But like I said thought I would have won, Maybe he was being easy? hah not really,,, Im shure if he had exhasut upgrade are gears he would have pulled me quick no dount in my mind if he had few bolt on, but I new I have alittle chance but didnt think it turn out me winning

i cant believe he has his cobra stock w/ just a programmer u could get those things over 400HP!!!!! and programmers only cost 3-400 bucks. those cars are so SICK[sm=icon_rock.gif] do u have any future modds planned?

Yeh 2 moths I will be finished with my first semster of school, dad says if I keep grades good he will go half in whatever I get but somethign reasonable like a supercharger are a turbo, My goal in the next 2-3 months is to be over 400rwhp easy, Right now im 320-350 with the stuff that is done of now. I know I'll have the 400 rwhp soon just hoping I dotn half to wait 2 months.
But yeh that 03 if it just had an intake are exhaust upgrade are gears even, he would have probally pulled me, MAN IT WAS NICE TO SERE HIM BHIND ME INSTEAD AFront of me. ,

if u get a s/c ur car would be so sick.

anyway if u do that then i think u might have to switch ur gears from 4.10s to 3.73 if u do that. unless cobras r different.

the 1998 and < cobras r'nt that fast they r just a little faster than a 99+GT or so ive heard from a lot of guys on here. even though they produce 300hp they dont produced that through the entire rpm band and they dont have as much tq. or something like that.
