Nanaki and 2000GT4.6...you guys are great. It's good to know there are people that have been there and done that, that are not keeping the good info for themselves. I am saving for my MPH s/c setup and will have it soon. I will have a gangbang of questions for you guys!

another option to think about is a Kenne Bell twin screw blower. they make full boost at 2000RPM and have a ton of low end torque. they are more pricey but im my opinion a lot more fun. if your car is gonna be mainly a track car i say go with the centri but otherwise the KB will be more fun.

i want to make my car good at the drag strip...but also good on the street. i was hoping to make it as close to a 10 second car as possible, perform good on the streets as well as keeping it as a daily driver.

its nice to have a car that can drive fast in a line, but more fun to be able to go around turns just as fast.

so whats the difference between the twin screw and a regular centri?

twin screw gives you install power. a centri doesn't even begin to build boost until ~3k rpm (max boost hits at redline). if you're coming out of a turn, you'll probably want to have all that power to start moving right out.

yes but for the 2.1 I/C kit it runs around $6,000. for what he wants to do he can get a regular kit from vortech or mph or something for $3,000 or used for even cheaper. Most everyone you will talk to will tell you if they had to do it over again, theyd go F/I first. It sucks when you add LT's on a N/A motor and are lucky to gain 10hp, but on a S/C application it can be double that.. same goes for heads and cams... the only thing you will really need (that is not included in any kit) is sticky tires.
