Kenne Bell Supercharger = 550hp

So i decided to go ahead with super charging my car with the 2.1 kenne bell. I just wanna show what im going to do just incase im missing anything. I know im going to need prop better suspension, a new transmission, drive shaft, and i will need to beef up the rear end. But for now im just talking about the engine part.[hr]I am going to take out my engine and break it all down. Im going to replace all the worn pieces, seeing how my car has over 100,000 miles. Then i am looking at this kit from MMR that they use in their 600hp capable shortblack. It has forged crankshaft, rods, and pistons. I think that all that should make my engine strong enough for the planned 550hp. Im currently in contact with kenne bell asking them what i should also get along with the 2.1 super. Im thinking that the boost a pump, and spark, along with a cool air inlet system, and their switch chip. I think i will be runnning high boost. Right now im thinking like 14psi. I dont really know just yet what small components im going to need for my engine inorder to run high boost safely. Iv just really got the engine rebuild down right now.. i think.

Do you guys know just some of the things that im going to need to get? I know in the supercharger kit that i plan on getting a chip, cool air kit, 8 injectors, boost a pump, and bypass valve all come with the kit.

As youi can see all this is new for me, havent really got all the specifics down yet. So if you guys can help me out that would be great.. thanks guys

Im not sure if a boost a pump will be enough for 550rwhp... Thats something I would look into is fuel.
I would get with a shop or whoever is helping you do the engine teardown and get there opinion (assuming they have done this more then once) on who you should order your new internals from... or if you should just buy a built shortblock through a well known source.

Since your already doing a engine build might as well replace the cams with blower cams.... heads im not sure on... Im not sure if you can reach that kind of power on stock PI heads... someone else will have to answer that quistion.

... Thats all I can think of when it comes to the motor.. also make sure you have proffessionals work on your engine build... Just a suggestion...

That setup uses a cast crankshaft

id suggest getting a focus fuel pump and some 60lb injectors. your gonna have fuel problems if you keep the 36lb injectors that come with that kit. plus the stock GT pump isnt the greatest to id upgrade that.

you may be wondering why you would use a fuel pump from a 4cyl but it was designed by SVT for use in the SVT focus. its a pretty good little pump

If it was me just an opinion I would go with the 2.6 for that much horsepower that way you can customize your other peices to fit your needs.

yea those 2.6 blowers are huge. but if i was gonna do all that it take a trip down to MPH and get the 2.8 slapped on my car

hmm 550rwhp on a 2.1KB on a 2v?? yeah good luck... you should get a bigger blower if your going through all that trouble....

You talking about horsepower at the engine right?

Well, even with a bigger blower it's going to be a lot of work with a 2v.. but +1 on bigger blower.. you will have a hard time getting the 2.1 past 500rwhp.... your best bet is to find a used 2.2 or new 2.6.
