Take a listen to these, the first vid is a cobra w/MAC catback and the second one is w/Borla. I personally would go w/the MAC, you just can't beat the sound of a chambered muffler[8D]

I would have to say borla FTW. I mean Borla is just a killer catback and I could only wait to hear you post a vid of in on ur cobra. . .

I have a mac h-pipe with a borla catback. When reving it at idle it sounds pretty nasty and loud up until about 4k. Anything after is not that great. Cruising around and getting on it it sounds pretty nasty. Pretty throaty

Last I checked there was still no Stinger catback for a pre-99 mustang.....

Revving the car at idle isnt the best way to find out how a car sounds, because if you realized that, you would know that Borla *the stingers anyways* sound AMAZING at acceleration.

I would imagine that a Striaght thru muffler will have a morem aggressive sound at idle.

Chambered has a louder idle. Straight through are louder under acceleration.

Yea, I know that chambered mufflers are louder at idle, while not as loud at full throttle or under any kind of acceleration.

What I was trying to say is that they *being a straight thru muffler* will be more aggressive.....

BUT, either way I was mistaken, typo.. i meant to say more aggressive under load.

Tell that to my 97 cobra....that has a borla cat back with borla stamp right on the tips that are welded right to the pipes as one piece that bolts right to my mac which is made for my car. They do make them for pre 99s. Yes I know it sounds better at acceleration than idle. It sounds MUCH MUCH better. Also...I can take a pic of it for you tomorrow if you'd like? (since it's 12:30am and it's raining right now)

So do you have a Stinger exhaust or not?

I guess I don't really know what you were trying to say in your last two posts.

Like I had said, as far as I knew, there was no STINGER/aggressive model for the pre-99 mustangs.

If there IS.. then I stand corrected, but like you said, what you showed me is NOT a stinger catback..

Do you have one?
