Keep blowing fuses..
Well I noticed that my Tailights were not working and neither were my dash lights so I figured best thing to check would be a fuse. So I check the fuse box and I see that there was no fuse in there so I put one in. Fixed it tailights worked and it was all good but then I turned on the dash lights with the dimmer I would hear the fuse blow and there would go my tailights again. If I keep my dash lights real dim or off the fuse doesnt blow.
I changed out the dimmer switch and still no go. Im maybe thinking the turnsignal switch has somthing to do with it cause I was having problems with it.
Ideas? Short maybe? What would be first place to look?[/align]

RE: Keep blowing fuses..
The fact that it only blows when you turn the dimmer up leads me to believe the ampage on the fuse is not high enough to support it. How many amps did the fuse you put in hold?
Try a higher one...that may help.

i think you have a short to ground. take a digital multimeter on ohms scale and check the fuze panel female contacts (fuze removed) one at a time w/ the red lead, and black lead to chassis ground...if you read "continuity" ( .0 to 5 ohms or so) you are shorted to ground on that wire(s).i had gremlins in my turn signal and a/c / heater blower motor wiring on my 87 fox body. it was a loose ignition switch and wires on the back(connector) side of turn signal lever in the steering column had lock feature broken and pin was recessed. let me know.
