Ford can flash the ecm up to 3.73 gears. Give them a call and see what they would get to flash the ecm.

Probably cost a couple hundred bucks for it, and flashing the ECM for any mods will void your valvetrain warranty regardless if Ford does the work or not, any modifications whatsoever to your cars computer voids warranty. The Magnuson-Moss act doesn't protect you with the ECM.

Just spend the $90 bucks on a Spedo recalibrator.

I was wondering the same thing, would a tuner work just as well to recal my speedo? (Predator)

well i figure ill knock out 2 birds with one stone, i was planning on getting a tuner anyways.

no point and buying the speedo recal then buying the tuner

one question tho, is it bad to run a tuner on a high milage engine?

so there is a way to get gears and not have to get a chip or programmer. i have a warranty and thats whats been holding me back from gettin gears is the programmer will void the valvetrain.
