Default Clutch Cable

I have searched the forums for info on clutch cables and found some info but needhelp witha fewquestions. One: all of the clutch cables that I have seen only have ONE bracket that bolts onto the fender. The clutch cable that I removed hadTWO brackets, one for the fender and one for the master cylinder. Is the bracket to the master cylinder not needed anymore? Two: I cannot find a parts store in SD that has the Steeda Clutch Cable in stock (Steeda P/N 172-0001) including JBA Performance in SD. They sold me a Ford MotorSports adjustable clutch cable. Does anyone have this setup? It seems I cannot used my firewall adjuster with this cable (the ford one comes with a plastic part that bolts onto the firewall.

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Should have stated this at the beggining: I have a 1997 Mustang Cobra with a Steeda Clutch quadrant and a firewall adjuster.
