I don't understand, I've heard and read GREAT things about adding a TB, or a plentum on this site and other sites. My thing isI just bought a Ford Racing 70mm TB from my parts dept. for $50.00 bucks (NOS). Now I just read this and I am not sure if I want to add it or not. What should I do???

Put it on. It's not going to hurt anything.

There is no point in changing anything intake related unless you commit to having the engine tuned, or buying a handheld tuner and learning how to use it--in fact I would recommend buying a tuner as the next thing to do after dumping the OEM catback (and perhaps an aftermarket H or X-pipe).There will be little to no power gain from modding the intake and sticking with the OEM 87 octane tune; in fact you might really goose things up as others have reported. I bolted on 26 HP with the mods listed in my sig, the 93 octaner tune is an essential component of that gain. Click on the My Mustang link to seemy dyno charts...

i got a 75mm tb and intake elbow. cant say i gained or lost any power but i will say that the response is alot better. one thing ive learnt is that its not one mod that helps its all of them working togeather dont expect to see huge gain out of anything unless it is some sort of power adder.
