Default Auto Meter Gauge Cluster

I ran into a guy this weekendwho had a full auto meter gauge cluster (lunar series) and it looked great. American Muscle carries them and from what I have found online elsewhere they are advertised for 99-03 mustangs. Will this system not work for an 04 GT? I believe that even the mileage carries over no problem.

Also, the description claims you have to disable the passive anti-theft system. Is this true? When we both walked away, we both armed our alarms, so I take it his is not disabled.

I have the gauge cluster in my 03. I didn't have to disable the securitysystem since the autometer gauge cluster is not a complete cluster. It has only a face, dials, and lights. You must remove the face of your existing gauge cluster and replace it with the autometer face and hook up the illumination wire and you're done. There shouldn't be any security issues since you are using the guts of the stock cluster.

Yeah, they discontinued one but came out with another. This is the cluster I want. And I want to fill it with NV series Gauges.

how hard, though probably pricey, would it be just to buy gauges from autometer and make your own cluster?

i remeber seeing a custom one in the year one fastback mustang but didnt know if it'd be easier in an older car or what.
