My car has lost some power. It has 76,000 miles on it so what should i replace to regain some power? The reason i know i lost poweris because of a civic si (sedan) that i raced. and i kept up with him but couldnt pass him. Ive raced much faster cars in the past and beat them no problem so idk. She just seems sluggish especially around 80 mph she starts slacking off alot by my standards. any help or input is appreciated.

do you know the mods of the civic?? i doubt with wear and tear you lost power, unless something was majorly wrong with your motor... you just got used to the power. slacking off after 80 could be alot of different stuff. id start with the basics... air filter, fuel filter, plugs, pump, clean the throttle body.. etc. or just you getting used to it. a supercharger will take care of that.. preferably a twin screw

I agree that you shouldn't be down on power. Do the general maintenance stuff and go to a dyno if you want real #s.

+1.
Just clean/replace all the basics, then dyno it if you still aren't sure.
If it's good, get some mods.

The civic had mods.

civic def has some mods. I have a buddy that just sold his 94 civic with just a single turbo. He ran a 14.0 1/4. You can definatly mod them.
