that always cracked me up when guys build up these N/A cars and boast about their numbers because they dont have a power adder...but its not fair when us s/c guys boast about our numbers because we're pushing them through stock heads/cams/intake...ever think about that?

Becuase i had a blown head, a cracked rod, and worn pistons. I had no choice but to get new heads and a new block. So why not spend a few extra dollars and get what i want. Plus i have 340 without any power adder. Now what happens if i put on a 200 shot or a 250 shot or hell even a 300 shot. . . . . Then i'll be blowing the doors off 90% of the supercharged stangs out there. . . With no worries about my engine. My block and internals are rated to 900 hp. . .

yes Fred turned out fine, but I have 2 buddies that did not. Thats why I didn't want to run PI heads. I'm not anti-PI, i am running a PI manifold and will have aftermarket cams. I just want to keep my heads NON PI, but when they are p/p will be just as good as PI.
btw, what are you hoping to get out of your setup? Im not trying to be a smart *** or anything, but i bet you'll be lucky to hit 330-340rwhp. Now to me, thats a waste of money. You must be spending a fortune on that setup. Im curious, why not blower?

don't bet on not having any worries on your engine. just because it's rated at 900HP doesn't make you invincible. alls it takes is a poor tune.

yeah just because your motor is built doesn't mean you can throw tons and tons of n20 at it...300 shot seems kind of rediculous to me...i would stick with no more than a 200 shot

Well yeah. I wouldnt do a 300 shot lol i was just saying. . . . Yeah im no novice. With the compression im running tuning is critical. . . Dude lets just say i've spent almost as much on the engine and with labor as i did on the car itself. Im proud that i got a high number becuase its awesome to see a little 4.6 V-8 2v make some LS-1 power without any power adder. Its a matter of what you want. I did have to spend a lot of $$$ but now i can do whatever i want with my engine. I chose to go with a high compression becuase i didn't want it to be s/c. I wanted that classic all motor sound and feel. Plus i think its way cooler to have a built motor than just throw on a blower. But its all about what kinda money you want to spend. Eventually the stock supercharged guys are gonna blow something. How long do you wanna keep your car. Im keeping mine forever and eventually we're all gonna have to change out the internals. Im just taking some preemptive measures so now im free to do what i want.

yeah i see where your coming from, im only 19 years old, in college...its tough getting a lot of money for built motors and everthing. But you are right, I will hopefully in the next half year be buying a MMR MOD 600 shortblock so i can throw a decent amount of boost at my motor. I plan on keeping my car forever as well, only 45k original miles and a very very safe tune, my tuner said if he wanted to he could have pushed out 355-360rwhp easy, but i would rather a safe and dependable car than having to worry every day. Nice dude. I got the MMR MOD 900 shortblock. Yeah dude i couldnt afford all this i kind kept falling more and more into it. I had to finance this build which im gonna regret but it'll be worth it hopefully. Plus i'll be FF'ing full time here real soon so paying it off wont be a problem . . . Plus my car is almost paid off
