I am not sure of this is a common problem or not but, when I am driving in 5th gear if punch the gas it sounds/feels like someone just hit the back of the car with a bat.

Feels like the tranny is about to fall out? Rattling under the trans? Mine does it too, i have heard that I should replace and/or check tranny fluid level, too lazy to though. I just try not to do that to avoid having to work....

How much free play is in your rear end? It can be caused by end to end movement. Just a thought.

I had the same problem with mine. I looked underneath the car and where the pinion snubber attaches to was split in half which is the rear crossmember for the car. The upper control arms, fuel lines, and brake lines attach there also. I dropped the rear end and lines and welded everything back together and it is still holding to this day. WildRidesRaceCars.com sell a replacement crossmember and upper control mounting points for $429.95.
