Yeah, keep what you got, why spend money you don't need to. I wouldnt worry about any block at that power level.

Yeah, thats a good idea if you have the money (cams aretoo). But get the porting done from a reputable shop. Remeber those heads are heavy, it might be cheaper in the long run to just buy new, ported heads(sell your old), you can get new, fully assembled ready-to-rock (minus cams)patriot stage II heads for 1250. Instead of paying labor and 2x shipping charges, keep that in mind. Also, if you're getting head work, look into a stroker kit for a couple hundred more. You might want to spend the extra cash on it, but only if youre definitely getting the head work. Someone here has a stroker, can't remember his name though...

I don't think anyone has put an exact number on it, but plenty, don't worry about it. Ive never heard of a block cracking, anyone else?
i have seen 2 cracked blocks. but they werent from having too much power in the motor

How much can a stock GT BLOCK handle? Just the block not the internals. . .
Upwards of 1000hp

they can both handle alot of power.. the teksid more.. i dunno about 1,000 for the stock 4.6 id say 6-700hp 1000hp for the teksid. but if youre at that amount of power, youre probably already going to have a built block or need one.

They both do. The teksid is more fly cause it weighs less, wont rust out, and can be sleeved for a big bore.
