What fuel system are you running? I'm surprised that you're at 500 rwhp on 42's.

How do you know it's 500 at the flywheel? Did you have the motor on a engine dyno?

To sustain 500 rwhp in the fuel dept. with F/I, you're going to need, (at least);

60lb injectors, the Cobra tank with duel pumps and unless you plan on running race fuel, a meth/water injection kit.

I have the svt focus pump with the KB boost-a-pump and the duty cycle was at 98% with the boost-a-pump wide open and made 434 rwhp. My 42 lb injectors held up just fine though.

The duty cycle on what?

Neither the injectors or the SVT pump should be anywhere close to a 98 percent duty with 434 WHP, let alone a SVT pump with a BAP. Hell, the stock SVT Pump is doing fine in my car with 420 WHP, and the injectors are far from maxed.

I have seen more than a few people making 470+ WHP with the 42 lb/hr injectors.

Your not going to need race fuel or a meth injection kit for 550+ WHP... hell MPH has a couple 550+ (and one making 601) with no injectoin OR a i/c, and thats on 93 octane....

The duty cycle of the fuel pump was at 98%. The tuner said it didn't make since to him either. He said there was two versions of the svt focus pump, one flowed a lot better than the other, and he thinks I got the weak one or there is something wrong with mine. My injectors didn't come close to maxing.

Very strange, sounds like a bum pump to me.

With a plan of 550+ WHP though, there isn't any doubt.. your going to need a new fuel pump setup and bigger than 42 pnd/hr injectors (60 ftw).

uhhh... i had 467RWHP with 36lbs injectors. they were maxed out, but they still held 467RWHP. 42lbs should be enough to put him at the 500 mark, or close to it. the fuel pump, however, will not be enough.
