Well that's SOMETHING... but it's interesting it wouldn't actually affect any of the car's driving dynamics?

I really couldn't tell the difference. I basically paid a couple hundred dollars for some new u-joints. Lol, that's how I look at it.

But hey don't LS1's come stock with an alluminum driveshaft?

It'll be slightly faster, but it's so little that you probably just didn't notice it. You're also transferring more of your power to the wheels when you accelerate now since you won;t have to move quite so much mass on the way to the wheels.

That said, probably not worth the price unless you had another problem you were fixing with the new shaft.

The aluminum shaft is maybe at MOST 1 or 2 pounds lighter....I really thought it would be a major(well not 100 pounds but a good 5 to 8)weightreduction only to find they felt almost the same....So..reducing that kinda mass isn't gonna make anything faster.....I've went so far as having gun drilled 40 spline axles, aluminum third member, lightned gearscustom aluminum drive shaft in my racer and E.T difference ? from before (iron third, steel shaft and solid axles) and regular 9310 pro gears)======.15....in the 1/4.....on a 9.30's car after spending 2500.00 ......so...rotating mass = lots of money with little or no return..IMO
